Your Team

Every Dream Starts as a Drop of Water

Waiting to be guided to a greater purpose: to add life to others, move mountains, warm the environment, or even rise to the sky.

At INPAC, we help shape your journey and guide those dreams to the destination you desire. As an independent and local financial planning firm, our group of advisors work to create an adaptive and fluid plan to guide you through your greater purpose in life. That’s The INPAC Way, and that’s who we are.

We’re an Ohana.

Ohana Means Family.

And when you see us working together, you’ll find that INPAC is just like your typical family: we rely on each other, treat each other with respect and lift each other up during the most difficult times. This is why we love what we do – working together to make a positive impact on others’ lives and helping them plan for the dreams we all strive to live ourselves. We’re family. And when you work with any one of us, you become more than a client – you become Ohana.

That's how we do it. Together.

“Dream with inspiration. Plan with a purpose. And live with intention."

What would you be doing if you weren’t working at INPAC?

I fell in love with Japan when I visited in 2014. If I weren’t working for INPAC, I’d love to spend most of my time there. However, if I wasn’t working at INPAC, I’m sure my life would be mundane.

I love helping our clients pursue their goals. The only reason why I wouldn’t be at INPAC would be if I chose to retire. I’m a workaholic, though, so I know I’ll always work in some capacity.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

The best advice I ever received was from a life coach who is now one of my great friends: “Life is like a wheel of balance — each spoke represents physical, spiritual, financial, family and community balance.”

Life can be busy. It’s so easy to get caught up on just one aspect of life and let the others suffer or fall short. Trying to create a balanced wheel in all areas of life can help make life more fulfilling. However, creating that balance is easier said than done.

Realizing that everyone is human helped the entire INPAC ohana become better planners because it’s not always about the numbers — it’s about our clients’ wheels and how we can make the most out of each spoke.

Why do you do what you do?

I got familiar with the concept of “being in business” while growing up in the family fish business on Kauai. Only now have I really come to understand the true meaning of being in a business that is worth being in. There is something so fulfilling about designing wealth plans that can help  our clients enjoy every stage of life.

Why do you do what you do?

In 2010, my mom suffered a debilitating stroke. Faced with costly caregiving expenses and with little financial resources available, I saw my parents’ quality of life decline.

Determined to help them, I pursued a career in wealth advising. I strive to not only be a valuable resource, but also a trusted advisor who helps people plan for their future to help them avoid the same financial fate as my parents.

What are you most grateful for in your life?

Every day is a gift. I am truly thankful for everything in my life — from my wonderful wife, Mayo, and my children, Ai and Riku — to good health, great relationships and the opportunity to make a tremendous difference in people’s lives.

What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?

A baseball coach once told me “not to have any regrets”. That is something that I took to heart and still live by to this day. To me, having no regrets means giving 100 percent effort, always being prepared and doing my absolute best every day.

What do you love most about being a part of INPAC?

What I love most about INPAC is the small, close-knit family culture within the office. Everyone works well together, and we all know that each and every one of us has an impact on our clients’ lives.

What are you passionate about?

I am passionate about having new experiences and constantly learning more about myself. Every year, I travel with my family to different places around the world to experience new cultures and cuisine.

Why do you do what you do?

I love helping people. As Zig Ziglar once said, “You can get everything in life you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want.” It’s amazing to me that I get to help people pursue their financial goals, and along the way, I get to raise a family and build a spectacular life and network in Hawaii.

Why do I do what I do?

Having 10+ years’ experience in the banking industry, I have been fortunate enough to meet and help many people from all stages of life with their financial goals. Through this experience I realized one important thing was missing which was a “plan” for our clients.  At the bank I was able to help people by offering products and services that could benefit them however, I realized we could be of much greater service to our clients by building off of a solid foundation of their dreams, goals, and desires which is a “Financial Plan”.

I wanted to shift my practice to helping our clients more holistically, and at INPAC that’s exactly what we do! We help design these plans for every single one of our clients, and the best part at no cost to them!

What do you love most about being a part of INPAC?

I love the team. We are all very supportive of each other and work hard to help our clients pursue their goals. We are like a family.

What are you most passionate about?

I'm passionate about helping others. Whether it's helping people pursue their financial goals, or simply making someone smile and making their day brighter.

Why do you do what you do?

I had a great career at Hawaiian Electric Company. When I retired at 55, I did some soul searching to figure out what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. I discovered early on that I had a servant heart. Working at INPAC Wealth Solutions provides me with the venue to fulfill my need to help others. Financial stability is very important for everyone to live a healthy and fulfilling life.

What are you most grateful for in your life?

I am most grateful for my family. Even when I have a tough day at work, seeing my family relieves me of the stress that I felt.

What do you love most about being a part of INPAC?

I am the newbie at INPAC. The team here is very helpful and willing to teach me. Furthermore, the skills and experiences that I gained from my previous career enables me to contribute to this business. There is great excitement for the future of this practice.

Why do you do what you do?

I grew up watching my mother build a company from the ground up. She woke up every morning at 4 a.m. to bake personalized cookies — grabbing all of the ingredients, mixing the dough and pulling out multiple racks in the oven. She would finally return home at 8 p.m. just to start the process all over again the next day.

As a teenager, my whole family would help by doing deliveries every day to stores. We even shipped Cookkwee’s Cookies to Canada once. After 30 years, these cookies are still on the shelves of many grocery stores in Maui.

I respect my mom so much, and I know there are so many other humble beginnings out there — many of which include hardworking families who work diligently to build and preserve their legacy. I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve and make a difference in people’s lives.

What’s the best advice you ever received?

“If you realized how powerful your thoughts are, you would never think a negative thought” by Piece Pilgrim.

When you go through life, there are so many good things and bad things that happen. If you react negatively to those, your entire world can change. You have the power to set the tone for your life.

What do you love most about being a part of INPAC?

INPAC is a prime example of humble beginnings and hardworking families coming together. I cherish that. I love being a part of a team that extends our hands to the rest of Hawaii, just like my family did for each other growing up.

Why do you do what you do?

I have always wanted to help others and make a positive and significant difference in their lives. This was something I pursued with a passion for my entire career as an insurance and financial services professional. 36 years later, I still find it extremely rewarding and fulfilling to help people prepare and protect themselves from life's uncertainties, and to help them achieve financial security and financial success. This is definitely something I continue to enjoy doing each day as an INPAC financial advisor!

What are you passionate about?

I am very passionate about helping people help themselves. We all have such amazing potential to achieve so many great things. Negative thoughts, fears, and worry can have devastating effects on our psyche and ultimately, our destiny. I know how it feels to be afraid, worried, and alone. I also know how good if feels to have support, guidance, advice, and mentorship. I was very fortunate to have had the help and support of wonderful people at the times in my life when I needed it the most. It is my greatest passion to pay this precious gift forward and help as many as I can, whether it be through my work as a financial advisor, as a volunteer for charities or youth sports, or simply as a friend.

What do you love most about being a part of INPAC?

Every single team member at INPAC has a very sincere and deep desire to positively impact and truly make a difference in our client's lives. We all do our absolute best to help our clients achieve financial success and help them to be able to live their dreams. I love being with a firm that helps make people's dreams come true!

I love that we help generations of families improve their financial health and pursue their goals. I also love working with such a great team. We all work hard and encourage each other to go after our dreams.

What would you be doing if you weren’t working for INPAC?

If I wasn't working at INPAC, I would be in an industry that makes a lasting positive impact on other people’s lives. I also enjoy working out, doing yoga and motivating my coworkers to exercise, so I might also work in the fitness industry.

What do you feel most grateful for in life?

I feel grateful for everything: my health, my home and to be a part of a wonderful team where we all support one another and want to make a positive difference in people’s lives.

What would you be doing if you weren't working for INPAC?

I would be retired. Actually, I was retired... and one day, I received a call from Troy, asking me if I wanted to work for INPAC's Kauai office. He said that all I would have to do was to answer the phones and transfer  the calls to the appropriate person. The job ended up being much more than that. Today, I serve all the Kauai clients by assisting them in any way I can so that they can achieve their financial dreams.

What are you most grateful for in your life?

I am grateful for many things in my life... family, friends, and health. But I am most grateful to be able to work and to have the opportunity to serve and give back to the people of Kauai. It's a place where I was born and raised.

What do you love most about being a part of INPAC?

We have a great team. We work closely together. We support one another. Together, we work hard for our clients to make a difference in their lives.
